After five years of rumours and innuendo, April 2007 saw the official recorded debut of the Knights of Infinite Resignation in the form of Peace and Rest, a five-song EP released worldwide exclusively through iTunes. Peace and Rest is not just a "first" for the Knights, though. How 'bout this:
It's the first Next Best Records release on iTunes.
It's the first ever record by a band whose name (and first EP title) were inspired by Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard.
It's the first rock record to feature St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio on the cover.
Speaking of the cover, if all the buildings weren't in the way, you'd be able to see the first Wendy's restaurant (RIP), which was on Broad Street.
You get the picture. But you're obstinate, and you ask, "Why should I download this EP?" Well, download it because it's the stellar debut of a band that undoubtedly will carry on the great legacy of Ohio Rock (and we're not just saying that because it's our record label's buck on the line).
The whistle's blowing and the train's leaving the station. Best jump on, now, right? You don't want to have to drive to catch us at the next station, because by the time we get there we might be out of free beer.
So, yeah, download Peace and Rest today. And if you don't have iTunes on your computer, download that and then get the record.
